You’ve told us which of the cookie recipes we’ve posted you love. Here’s three of the fave raves…

Hidden Kiss Cookies

My family has a long tradition of making LOTS of holiday cookies.  We have several different cookies we make each year –recipes that have been handed down from family and friends–and we  bake large quantities, then give them away as gifts.  In fact, there are people that literally email or call to make sure they are still on the list each year… the cookies are that good!

Everyone has their favorites but these Hidden Kiss Cookies are always a hit!  They look like a basic butter cookie with powdered sugar but … there’s a Hershey’s Kiss when you bite into this cookie!

My boys love them, especially when they first come out of the oven and the chocolate is still warm!

Recipe is from my Aunt’s friend years ago, they are super easy to make (only 7 ingredients), which is a good thing since I usually make several batches each holiday season.

Walnut Acorn Cookies

Perfectly imperfect and positively delicious! As promised, I’m sharing my family’s holiday cookie recipes, starting with my favorite… Chocolate Dipped Walnut Acorn Cookies! Original recipe from my Grandmother, these are adapted to be gluten-free and dairy-free.

The cookie itself is not too sweet, has a slight nutty flavor and a texture somewhere between chewy and crunchy. Dipped in chocolate, they are melt in your mouth YUM!

Happy Baking!

Cinnamon Snowballs

Let it snow with these Cinnamon Snowballs this holiday season! A longtime favorite, they are not too sweet, have a great cinnamon and nutmeg flavor, and are somewhere between chewy and crunchy. And this batch is not only gluten-free but dairy-free and vegan too!

The origins of this recipe: my Aunt, who got it from a Swedish friend she met in weaving class in the 1970s… seriously, that’s where we got it from. Beyond that, all I know is that we’ve been making them for as long as I can remember and they are really yummy!
