Happy St. Patrick’s Day! We are celebrating with Black & Tan Brownies made with Gluten-Free beer.
Recipe adapted from Cooking Light , I made them gluten-free and dairy-free. The key to making them Gluten-free if you’re celiac, is finding a great Gluten-free, not gluten-removed or gluten-reduced, beer.
The recipe calls for a Guinness. Not being an expert in gluten-free beer, I don’t even know if there is a gluten-free equivalent. I used Red Bridge, a lager made from sorghum. I think a darker beer might have led to slightly richer brownie taste. My gluten-free friends of legal drinking age, any gluten-free beers recos?
Back to the brownies, we thought they had a slight fragrance of beer but no taste of it. They just tasted like yummy brownie/ blondie mix and were moist and rich.
